More awards for The Mummy of Monte Cristo!

Last week I had a nice little writing retreat; a week off from my day job to focus on my next novel. I had intended to work on either the MOMC sequel or my unrelated sci-fi WIP, but my wife ended up having a great idea on Sunday night that I just couldn't leave alone. Now I'm 20,000 words into a totally new project! Go figure.

That wasn't the only good development last week: I discovered that The Mummy of Monte Cristo had been recognized by not one but two book awards! The American Book Fest "Best Book" Awards picked MOMC as the WINNER in their Fiction: Horror category, and the Independent Author Network Book of the Year Awards selected it as a Horror Finalist.

These are both big honours and I'm thrilled that the judges enjoyed my book!
